Tour for children to Carpathians "Kamianka Waterfall and Tustan Fortress"

This one day out-of-city tour for children from Lviv lasts for 10 hours.

During this trip Your children will visit the most picturesque places at the Carpathians of Lviv Region - the Rocks of Tustan and The National Park of "Skole Beskids".

The first stop of this tour for children to Carpathian Mountains is the Tustan Rocks or Tustan Fortress. The wooden fortress was erected there in IX-XIII cents. It served for defencive purposes to protect the borders of Galician Principality. Later it became the Customs where the sault taxes were gathered from people. As the fortress was wooden it didn't preserve till nowadays but because of the preserved traces of it in the sandstone of the rocks, now we know how exactly it looked like. The Rocks are very beautiful. No wonder that it was favorite place of Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko to spend the vacation. The age of the rocks is 55 mln. years.

Then we go to National Park "Skole Beskids". During this tour to Carpathians You'll visit the cascade waterfall Kamianka, which is situated on the river with the same name. The height of the waterfall is 7 metres.

After that You can also climb up to "The Dead Lake". It is named so because there is no river going into it or out of it. The water here is really cold and has a lot of hydrogen sulfide. That's why there is no fish in it too.
