Tour Rhe Pathways of Galician Towns (Rogatyn, Galych, Ivano-Frankivsk)


During the tour to Western Ukraine You'll visit Rogatyn - the homeland of Roksolana, Galych - the old capital of Principality and Ivano-Frankivsk - the residence of Potocky Family.

We offer You non-standart tour to the towns of Galicia, which can help You to know this land better. On the way of our tour we will pass through Old Village, where the ruins of one of the biggest castles on the territory of Ukraine are situated. Then we'll go to Piatnychany, where the unique де зберігся унікальний оборонний dungeon of 14-15 cent. of Seniavsky Family was preserved.

Then we'll visit Rogatyn - this cosy small town used to be the homeland of Ukrainian heroine Roksolana. And evan exept the monument to her there is a lot of sights to see. There is the wooden church of St. Spirit from 17 th cent there, the defensive cathedral of St. Nicolas and Church of Lady of God from 17 th cent.

Then we go to Galych. This city is known as the old capital of Galych-Volyn Principality. You'll see the castle and the church of Birth of Christ, visit the bridge through Dnister River and Krylos - the old center of Galych. 

The last and the most rich for architecture city on our tour is Ivano-Frankivsk, or as it was named at the beginning - Stanislaw. This city was founded by Count Andrew Potocky and named after his son Stanislaw. You can feel the cosiness here as it was built as the ideal city of Europe with the interests of every national communitybeing taken care of. We'll visit it's oldest part - The Market Place with the City Hall at the middle, we'll see the Baroque Jesuit Cathedral, Armenian Church, Jewish Synagogue and Greek-Catholic Cathedral. We'll also visit the Austrian part of the city with Independence Avenue.
